Meet Kendra Horn
Kendra Horn is a 5th generation Oklahoman and native of Chickasha. Her parents taught her the importance of investing in people, taking initiative, and serving your community. Kendra’s commitment to these values led her to work her way through law school and continue to guide her at every turn.
A practical idealist, Kendra’s career has taken her from Washington, DC to Colorado and California before returning to Oklahoma to make a difference in her home state. She currently serves as a professional mediator and as Executive Director of Women Lead Oklahoma, a nonprofit dedicated to women’s empowerment, leadership, and civic engagement.
Previously, Kendra served as press secretary for Congressman Brad Carson, led government affairs and communications for the Space Foundation, practiced law, and as a small business owner. She has also managed political campaigns and served as Executive Director for Sally’s List, where she led a concerted effort to get more women to run for and serve in elected office in Oklahoma.
Kendra is active in her community, serving on the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women Advisory Board and helps develop the next generation of leaders by working with the NEW Leadership Program and American Legion Girls State. Kendra is a lifelong Girl Scout and Gold Award recipient. She recently graduated from Leadership Oklahoma’s Class 30.
After receiving encouragement from working families, small business owners, and community leaders, Kendra decided to run for Congress to bring a fresh voice to the gridlock in Washington, DC. She has a seasoned and winning campaign team ready to win back the 5th District for Oklahomans. In Congress, Kendra will tackle Oklahomans’ most pressing problems. She will fight every day to make life more affordable for the middle class and to guarantee that everyone has access to health care, ensure women receive equal pay for equal work, and to give every child the opportunity to receive a first-class education
